Hopkinsville police have arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman in the eye with a broom handle earlier this month on Peppermint Drive.
A warrant for first-degree assault (domestic violence) and terroristic threatening was served Monday afternoon against 46-year old Chad Love of Hopkinsville, alleging he stabbed the victim in the eye, causing a severe injury that required treatment at Jennie Stuart Health.
Medical personnel reportedly told the victim that if more force had been used, the broom stick would have entered her brain and killed her.
Love is also accused of making threats to kill the victim during the assault that happened on the morning of November 23.
