Severe threat continues Tuesday night

Severe weather remains a concern for this evening and tonight in Western Kentucky.

National Weather Service in Paducah Meteorologist Chris Noles said during a conference call Monday morning that storms could form a line along a cold front, but new data was showing the possibility of singular cells out ahead of the system.

Damaging winds, hail and tornadoes will all be possible, with the greatest risk the farther south you go into Tennessee.

The outbreak is not expected to be anything like the December 10 and 11, 2021 outbreak that caused so much devastation in Western Kentucky.
