St. Louis Cardinals designated hitter Albert Pujols earned the award in his final big-league season. The 42-year-old hit 24 home runs and posted an .895 OPS in 2022. He also became the fourth player in league history to hit 700 home runs, and he finished second all-time in runs batted in.

(Cincinnati, OH) — A former Reds’ pitcher is on the 2023 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot. Bronson Arroyo is making his first appearance on the list of Cooperstown hopefuls. The starter spent nine seasons on the Reds where he pitched over 17-hundred innings with a 4.18 ERA. His career spanned 16 years where he accumulated 148 wins and had a 4.28 ERA. He’ll need 75-percent of the vote to get inducted and at least five-percent to avoid falling off the ballot next year. Voting results will be released in January.
