Big Blue Preview: Kentucky vs. South Carolina State

Tipoff at Rupp Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on the SEC Network. Hear it beginning at 4:30 on 98.7 Lite FM. Tshiebwe scored 22 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked four shots before fouling out in UK’s 86-77 loss to Michigan State in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis. Last season, Tshiebwe averaged 17.4 points and 15.1 rebounds, so his performance on Tuesday night was no surprise. In fact, it was his 17th consecutive double double, dating to last season. Freshman guard Cason Wallace had another big game for the Cats on Tuesday. The Dallas native had 14 points, tied a school record with eight steals, and added five rebounds and five assists. For the season, Wallace is averaging 12.3 points, six assists, 5.3 rebounds and four steals per game. Sahvir Wheeler is scoring 13.5 points per outing, while dishing out 9.5 assists per game through two games, after missing the opener. South Carolina State enters Thursday’s contest at 0-3.

Myrtle Beach Challenge Awaits Racers Thursday

The Murray State Racers (1-1) will play three games in four days (Nov. 17-20) at the Myrtle Beach Invitational in Conway, South Carolina at the HTC Center. The arena in Conway is the home court for Coastal Carolina University. The Racers take on the Texas A&M Aggies in game one, Thursday at 3 p.m. CT. MSU gets either Colorado or UMass. Boise State, Charlotte, Loyola, or Tulsa await MSU in their final game on Nov. 20.

Austin Peay travels to South Florida

Following a 24-point home win Monday, Austin Peay State University travels to The Sunshine State for its next three games, starting Thursday against South Florida as part of the Greenlight Sunshine Slam, presented by Discount Tire. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT. The game is televised online on ESPN+ and can be heard via the Governors Sports Network, starting with Governors Gameday beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Kentucky, Bellarmine Square Off Thursday at 7 p.m. ET at Memorial Coliseum

The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program will play host to Bellarmine on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. ET inside Memorial Coliseum, marking the third in-state matchup of the season for the program. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+, with Jeff Piecoro and Christi Thomas on the call. It is the program’s annual Professors and Teachers Appreciation game.

Govs head down I-24 for in-state clash with Commodores

After opening its season with back-to-back victories, Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team heads down Interstate 24 to take on Vanderbilt in a 6:30 p.m., Thursday game at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville. The Governors (2-0) opened their season with an 81-35 victory against Cumberland in the Winfield Dunn Center, Nov. 7, before tipping off its current five-game road trip with a 58-53 win against Chattanooga, Nov. 12.
