Alhambra Theater gearing up for end of year showings

The Alhambra Theater is sailing into the end of the year with some musical acts and some holiday cheer coming up for people to enjoy.

Doris Anne Russell with the Pennyroyal Arts Council appeared on WHOP Thursday morning and says the theater always has something happening, from tours to upgrades to shows. On November 18, the Annie Moses Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. and Russell says if you haven’t heard them play before, you are missing out.

Then in December, they’ll have performances from the Melodores on December 9, followed by the return of the Steel Drivers on December 16. But before that, on December 2 through December 4, will be the showing of the Nutcracker through a partnership with Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction and Gymnastics, with opening night set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Russell says the dancers have been practicing for months.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, while premium seating is $20 per adult and $15 per student. Tickets are available online at pennyroyalarts.org. For more information, contact the Pennyroyal Arts Council through Facebook.
