Ky. gains 5,712 new COVID cases

The positivity rate dropped in Kentucky during the last week, as the state reported 5,712 new cases of COVID-19.

There were also 41 newly reported cases, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth since the pandemic began up to 17,363—the positivity rate fell a percentage point to 8.31 percent. There are currently 332 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 40 in the ICU and 13 on a ventilator.
