(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals are bringing back one of their legendary players. St. Louis hired former outfielder Matt Holliday to be the team’s bench coach over the weekend. Holliday played with the Cardinals between 2009 and 2016, winning the World Series in 2011. The Cardinals also promoted assistant hitting coach Turner Ward to be the team’s hitting coach, and pitching strategist Dusty Blake will become the team’s pitching coach.
