The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library continues to find new ways to serve their community, including a new laptop check-out program.
Executive Director DeAnna Sova says they know that some of their more rural customers don’t have reliable internet access at their homes, and some may not be able to afford it, so they’re offering the ability to check out laptops that come with internet capabilities.
She says their passport, genealogy, children’s story time services, and your more traditional library services remain available for the public always, you just have to go onto their website to see what they offer.
Sova says a fun, murder mystery event is coming up Saturday for those 21 years of age and older, called “Murder at The Library”, where guests will work together to solve a fake murder with clues that are provided throughout the course of the evening, with a prize given to the guests that solve the crime.
Space for the event is limited and a registration fee of $25 per attendee is required. Register for the event by going online to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library website.
