Todd County in-house absentee voting underway, early voting next week at courthouse

Todd County’s in-house absentee voting and early voting are happening at the courthouse on East Washington Street.

County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan told Fiscal Court Friday morning that the in-person absentee voting continues until Wednesday, but you won’t need an excuse to vote early Thursday, Friday or Saturday of next week.

All of the traditional precincts in Todd County will be open for voting on November 8, Election Day, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

In other action, Fiscal Court approved a resolution encouraging the General Assembly to give the honorary designation of Todd County Veterans Memorial Highway to KY 181 from the Muhlenberg County line to the US 79 intersection in Guthrie. The legislature could consider the measure if Elkton and Guthrie’s city councils agree and Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield says it would not change anyone’s address.

State Representative Jason Petrie of Elkton was recognized Friday by the Kentucky Association of Counties for being a county advocate, the second consecutive year he’s been honored with the designation.
