U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Bowling Green says he does not support the federal government subsidizing the development of solar farms, such as the one proposed in the Dogwood community of Christian County to sell power to TVA.
In an interview with WHOP News, Senator Paul says decisions on energy sources should be based on the consumer and price.
He says he’s sympathetic to neighbors and farmers in the area who want to preserve the beauty and culture of Western Kentucky.
Senator Paul says his priorities going forward include diffusing Russia’s war against Ukraine and tackling the national debt and inflation.
He says the price of gas and inflation continue to be the top issues he hears about from Kentuckians as he travels the state.
