Elkton man arrested following Christian Co. pursuit

An Elkton man was arrested Monday morning following a vehicle pursuit in Christian County.

According to a news release from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Josh Stallons was patrolling in the area of Madisonville Road and Lake Blythe Road when he observed a vehicle operated by 23-year-old Eddie Juckett of Elkton, who he knew to have a suspended driver’s license.  Deputy Stallons attempted to do a traffic stop, but Juckett allegedly refused to stop and led deputies on a chase through northern Christian County.

He reportedly ran another vehicle off the road during the pursuit and broke numerous traffic laws. The vehicle was brought to a stop in the 21000 block of Old Palestine Road. Juckett had to be removed from the vehicle, telling deputies he ran because he ‘wanted to get the vehicle back to his friend”.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving and resisting arrest, along with numerous traffic violations.
