A man who had allegedly led police on a multi-county pursuit reportedly took his own life Sunday afternoon in Hopkins County.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were notified of a pursuit coming into Hopkins County from Webster County on Nebo Road about 4:40 p.m. and the SUV was found stopped in the middle of the road at 4480 Nebo Road.
Police were notified that there had been a report of shots fired and they found Brian Allen Hood dead from a self-inflicted single gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County coroner.
