Purple Roll Past Colonels; Secure #1 Seed

Coming off of a 52-14 loss last week at South Warren, the Colonels were looking to reset and pick up their first district win on the year. They were also looking to hand Bowling Green its first and only district loss on the season.

Neither came to fruition.

A 50-7 loss now secures the number one seed for the Purple and puts Christian County squarely in the four seed with one week left and a non-district game coming up.

It wasn’t all bad, the Colonels once again did score. A 59 yard scamper by Jordan Miles late in the game gave the Colonels something to latch on too.

However, the Purple just had to much fire power and exerted their will with 319 yards passing, and freshman Trey Barber had an eighty-eight yard kick-off return TD to open the second half.

County will have a chance to grab win number three next week when they take on McCracken County who has also only won two games this year and will be coming off a 43-7 loss to Henderson County this week.
