>>Braves Lose In NLDS

(Undated)  — The reigning World Series champions are no longer defending their crown.  The Braves were eliminated from the postseason after losing to the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLDS.  Atlanta was topped 8-3 in Game Four in Philadelphia to end the year.  The Braves are hoping they won’t lose another fan favorite during the offseason.  Shortstop Dansby Swanson is eligible to become a free agent next month.

>>Cubs/Cardinals Legend Sutter Dies

(Chicago, IL)  — Former Cubs closer Bruce Sutter is dead at the age of 69.  The Cubs announced over the weekend that the Hall of Fame pitcher passed away in Georgia on Thursday.  Sutter was with Chicago from 1976 until 1980.  During his time with the team, he made four All-Star games and led the league in saves twice.  Sutter went 32-and-30 with a 2.39 ERA and 133 saves in 300 appearances with the Cubs. Sutter was with St. Louis from 1981 until 1984.  During that time, he led the National League in saves three times, going 26-and-30 with a 2.72 ERA and 127 saves in 249 appearances.  He also helped the team win the 1982 World Series.
