The first nine weeks of the school year are coming to a close and the Superintendent of Christian County Public Schools says its been a strong start to one of the first normal years since the pandemic.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel says it’s been great to get back to normal, with students learning unhindered, getting to participate in the fun school activities, and getting to meet more often with parents.
He says the district will discuss their latest testing data soon, saying this is one of the first years in many that they have real data to even review and make plans from.
Bentzel says it’s plain the pandemic hurt their students, but they’re prepared to make up lost ground.
The school system is hosting a hiring event on October 26 at 200 Glass Avenue, where they will have on-site applications and attendees can learn about pay scale and incentives. The event is for prospective substitute teachers, instructional assistants and bus drivers.
