Cardinals Fall to Clemson, 2-1

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —The University of Louisville women’s soccer team dropped a tight contest to Clemson, 2-1, Thursday night at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. The Cardinals scored the opening goal in the first few minutes but two-straight first half goals gave the Tigers the win.

Murray State Takes Big Win Over First-Place Missouri State

Senior forward Saraya Young netted a goal and dished out an assist in Murray State’s 2-1 win over Missouri State on Thursday night in Springfield, Mo. The Bears entered the matchup undefeated in Missouri Valley Conference games and first place on the league table.

Baumgardt’s score leads to draw against Dolphins

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Sophomore Alec Baumgardt’s 60th-minute goal led Austin Peay State University soccer to a 1-1 ASUN Conference draw against Jacksonville, Thursday, at Morgan Bros. Soccer Field.

(Louisville, KY)  — Louisville’s starting quarterback is dealing with concussion-like symptoms.  Malik Cunningham left the team’s game against Boston College on Saturday due to an undisclosed injury.  The Cards went on to lose the game 34-33.  Head coach Scott Satterfield told reporters the star quarterback is day-to-day and his status for this weekend’s game is uncertain.  Louisville heads to Albemarle County to play Virginia on Saturday.

(Louisville, KY)  — Still no comment yet from a women’s soccer team at the center of a bombshell report detailing abuse in the National Women’s Soccer League.  Former “Racing Louisville” coach Christy Holly is named in the report as having sexually coerced and assaulted a player.  Holly was fired but the team never publicly explained his firing, noting there was a non-disclosure agreement between the parties.  Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer calls it “sad and disgusting” and “people need to be held accountable.”
