Southeastern Conference Announces Full 2023 Softball Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2023 Southeastern Conference schedule was announced by the league office Thursday afternoon, with the Kentucky home schedule featuring some of the best teams in the conference heading to Lexington this spring. The SEC season will again consist of eight three-game series with each team playing four home series and four road series across a nine-week stretch, with each team receiving a bye week.

March 24-26 – TEXAS A&M

March 31 – April 2 – at Georgia

April 7-9 – at Ole Miss

April 14-16 – TENNESSEE

April 21-23 – ARKANSAS

April 28-30 – at Mississippi State

May 5-7 – FLORIDA

Fans should keep in mind that all listed dates are tentative. ESPN and the SEC will be announcing its Saturday/Sunday/Monday featured series soon which will effect dates. Times will be announced in conjunction with TV at a later date as the beginning of the season nears.

Louisville Baseball Announces Schedule for Annual Pizza Bowl

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville baseball program has set its schedule for the 2022 Pizza Bowl series, which is set to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. ET at Jim Patterson Stadium. The seven-game series continues Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. ET before an 1 p.m. ET first pitch on Saturday, Oct. 8. Games four through six are scheduled for Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. ET, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. ET and Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. ET, respectively before the series wraps up on Oct. 15 at noon ET. All Pizza Bowl games will be open to the public with free admission.

WKU Athletics Announces Topper Tipoff Date

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new basketball event, Topper Tipoff, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at E.A. Diddle Arena, WKU Athletics announced today. This will mark the first opportunity for fans to see the 2022-23 men’s and women’s basketball teams in person, and the evening will conclude with autograph sessions with both teams. The event is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and doors will open at 5:30 p.m. It is open to the public and admission is free.

Hilltoppers to Open Three-Game Fall Slate on Saturday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Head coach Marc Rardin and the Hilltoppers have announced their exhibition schedule for the 2022 fall season. WKU will face off against three opponents for its fall ball slate, with contests scheduled against Murray State, Lipscomb and Team Ontario. The Hilltoppers will open play at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 1, while hosting Murray State at Nick Denes Field. The teams are currently scheduled to play 14 innings in total, giving each squad the opportunity to utilize numerous players during the exhibition competition. A barbecue will be held during the event to welcome back WKU Baseball Alumni to The Hill. The following Saturday, Oct. 8, WKU will travel to Nashville to take on the Lipscomb Bisons at Dugan Field. The contest is scheduled for 14 innings beginning at noon. The Hilltoppers will then wrap up its brief fall season with a 6 p.m. CT home contest against international opponent, Team Ontario, on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Nick Denes Field. Both home matchups with Murray State and Team Ontario will be free to the public.

Freshmen Shine Bright as Racers Soccer Pick Up First Missouri Valley Conference Win in School History

The freshmen duo of Mary Hardy and Sydney Etter played big roles in Murray State’s 3-1 win over Indiana State on Thursday at Cutchin Field. The win gives Murray State their first win in the Missouri Valley Conference in any sport as new members of the league this season.

Dion’s fifth clean sheet leads to scoreless draw against Bellarmine

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Senior goalkeeper Chloé Dion earned her fifth shutout of the season, as Austin Peay State University’s soccer team played to a scoreless draw against Bellarmine, Thursday, at Morgan Bros. Soccer Field. Austin Peay (3-5-4) picked up its fourth draw of the season against Bellarmine (0-3-8) who entered Thursday’s contest leading Division I in draws this season.

(University, MS)  — The Wildcats, Cardinals and Tigers are all back in action tomorrow afternoon as the college football season rolls on.  Number-eight Kentucky hits the road to take on 11th-ranked Ole Miss.  Both teams are 4-and-0.  The 2-and-2 Cardinals head to Boston to take on the 1-and-3 Eagles while 3-and-1 Memphis hosts 2-and-2 Temple.  Vanderbilt and Tennessee are off this weekend.
