Hopkinsville’s ‘spec building’ is sold, as Governor Andy Beshear announced Thursday that Elevate Windows and Doors LLC will invest over $16 million and create 203 full-time jobs with a new production and distribution operation in Hopkinsville.
Company leaders will acquire the existing 100,000-square-foot building on 22 acres in Hopkinsville’s Commerce Park I in the next step of their plans to expand Elevate’s manufacturing and distribution footprint throughout the southern United States.
Governor Andy Beshear says that makes over 450 jobs coming to Hopkinsville in the near future when you combine it with the recent announcement of Ascend Elements.
New jobs created through the project will include 183 light manufacturing and shipping roles and 20 office positions. Company leaders expect to begin production with a ‘soft opening’ as soon as April 2023.
The governor says Christian County’s location and workforce played big roles in Elevate choosing Hopkinsville.
South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Executive Director Carter Hendricks says, “It’s gratifying to see our vision come to fruition at the most recent spec building in our region. We sought to recruit a strong company and to diversify our industrial footprint by recruiting a new industrial sector. With Elevate Windows, our region has exceeded expectations.”
Judge-Executive Steve Tribble and Mayor Wendell Lynch thanked everyone involved in getting Elevate to Hopkinsville and pledged their support to making the project a success.
