New trial date set in McHenry Street murder case

Trial has been delayed once again for Robert Torian, the man charged in the 2019 shooting death of Terrill Moore.

The move comes after attorneys for Torian argued in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon that they are still going through the evidence, with defense attorney Jason Byrd saying they received new evidence from the Commonwealth Attorney’s office as recently as this week.  Judge Andrew Self granted the continuance.

He also set a new trial date for March 13, 2023, along with a pretrial hearing.

Torian was in jail for allegedly shooting and killing Terrill Moore during an argument that began inside a car on McHenry Street in August of 2019. He is also potentially facing new charges of second-degree assault, following a physical altercation that occurred in the Christian County Jail in August.
