Blazers Defeat Colonels

In their final game of the regular season Christian County drove across the street, nearly, and took on UHA.

The Blazers showed why even very talented teams like Hopkinsville have struggled with them this season. They are physical, and they will tell you about it.

Much like their game against the Tigers, UHA was in the Colonels space and in their faces all night.

Nothing came easy for Christian County.

Joshua Settle gave a valiant effort, but a 4-0 final in favor of UHA and at times it was difficult for the Colonels to get the ball across midfield.

As I said, it was the final regular season game for Christian County who finishes 7-9-2. They had some ups and downs, one up being a win early in the year over Hopkinsville.

Obviously the Tigers are now playing their best soccer so that win looks even more impressive.

That just goes to show, the Colonels, like their Tiger counterparts, are not a bad team. They just ran into a bad matchup with the Blazers.

UHA also provided an electric atmosphere and I would be remise to not credit both student sections who showed up and showed out, I unfortunately did not get a picture of either, that is on me.

The Blazers now prepare for their final regular season game, on the road at Mayfield on Thursday night.

Mayfield is 7-10 on the year as opposed to UHA who stands at 10-6.
