(Pittsburgh, PA)  — Cincinnati fell to the Pirates for a second-straight game after a 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh.  The game was tied 1-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh when Miguel Andujar cracked a double with the bases loaded to score three runs.  The Reds have lost five-of-six and will try to avoid a sweep as the series concludes this afternoon.

Atlanta Braves 8, Washington Nationals 2

(Washington D.C.)  — The Braves extended their winning streak to four games after taking the second game of their three-game set with the Nationals.  Atlanta topped Washington 8-2 in DC.  Collin McHugh was credited with his third win of the season after pitching an inning and a third of scoreless relief.  Orlando Arcia and Ronald Acuna Jr. went deep in the victory for the Braves, who improved to 97-and-58.  Atlanta is now tied with the Mets for first in the NL East.  The Braves and Nats wrap up their series tonight.

(Chicago, IL)  — Yan Gomes stroked a go-ahead double in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Cubs past the Phillies 2-1 at Wrigley Field.  Christopher Morel hit his 15th home run in the victory.  Marcus Stroman earned his fifth win after giving up just one run on four hits in seven innings, and Manuel Rodriguez picked up his third save.  The Cubs improve to 68-and-86.  Hayden Wesneski takes the mound for Chicago against Philadelphia tonight.

St. Louis Cardinals 6, Milwaukee Brewers 2

>>Cardinals Clinch N-L Central With Win Over Brewers

(Milwaukee, WI)  — The Cardinals are celebrating a division title after their 6-2 win over the Brewers.  Andrew Knizner crushed a two-run home run while Paul Goldschmidt drove in two runs.  Miles Mikolas got the win for St. Louis, which clinched the N-L Central with its 90th win of the season.  It’s the Cards’ first division crown since 2019.  Rowdy Tellez hit a homer for the Brewers, who were unable to take advantage of a Phillies loss.
