(Cumberland, GA) — The Braves finished a three-game sweep of the Phillies with a 5-2 win at home. Robbie Grossman and William Contreras each homered in the win. Spencer Strider struck out 10 and became the fastest ever to 200 strikeouts to earn the win. Atlanta is 91-and-55. The Braves are a game back of the Mets for first in the N.L. East. Atlanta will host the Nationals tonight.

(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals managed just two hits in a 3-0 loss to the Cincinnati Reds at Busch Stadium. Yadier Molina and Paul DeJong were the only two players with base knocks in the losing effort. Jordan Montgomery was charged with his fifth loss after giving up three runs in five-and-a-third innings. The Cardinals are still in first place in the NL Central with an eight-game lead over Milwaukee at 87-and-61. Adam Wainwright starts for St. Louis against San Diego tomorrow night.

(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs gave up four early runs in a 4-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field. Javier Assad was charged with his second loss after giving up four runs in two inning of work. Yan Gomes went three-for-four with a home run and three RBI in the losing effort. The Cubs are now 62-and-84. Wade Miley starts for Chicago against the Marlins in Miami tonight.
