Indictments for assault, criminal abuse returned by grand jury

A Christian County Grand Jury has returned multiple indictments for assault and criminal abuse Friday afternoon.

Indicted for second-degree assault domestic violence, third-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree wanton endangerment and resisting arrest is 57-year-old Michael Hoover.  Hoover is accused of assaulting a female victim in August and then barricading himself into an apartment in Woodland Heights, where he was allegedly armed with a knife and threatening to kill deputies.

He was eventually taken into custody through use of a taser.

Also indicted for second-degree assault is 41-year old Genesis Bloomer of Hopkinsville, who is accused of striking 22-year old Isaiah Jessup on the head with a hammer, causing minor injuries.

Indicted for second-degree criminal abuse is 38-year-old Matthew Mitchell of Hopkinsville, who allegedly committed the offense of criminal abuse on August 8 by knowingly or wantonly abusing a child under the age of 12.
