This year’s Distinguished Young Woman competition for Christian County will be Sunday night at the Alhambra Theatre and young ladies from all local high schools are competing.
Erin Namie is the Distinguished Young Women director and says there are two students from Fort Campbell High School, two from UHA, two from Heritage Christian Academy and eight from the two public high schools.
She says the 16 competitors will compete in five different categories and numerous scholarships will be awarded.
The overall winner will advance to the state competition with an opportunity there to advance to nationals.
The local program is 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Alhambra and tickets can be purchased for $10 at the door or in advance from any of the competitors.
