Gov. Beshear hopeful about potential decline in COVID cases

Governor Andy Beshear is hopeful Kentucky is back into a decline in COVID cases as the numbers seem to be showing improvement.

He says one thing remains the same—being up to date on vaccines and boosters is the best way to avoid serious illness from COVID-19.

The weekly case total and positivity rate have both been down recently and the governor says that’s obviously a good sign.

Hospitalization, ICU and ventilator numbers are also either in a decline or remaining steady at a relatively low level. Christian, Todd and Trigg counties were green on the most recent community spread level map.
