>>HOPKINSVILLE, KY (September 14, 2022)
Christian County Public Schools will host the scheduled alumni football event this Friday, September 16 in conjunction with the Hopkinsville High vs. Christian County High Football game. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 PM with alumni events taking place prior to the start of the game. All former football players and coaches for both teams are invited to attend the pre-game festivities which will be held in front of the Stadium of Champions beginning at 5:30 PM. Alumni and one guest will be admitted to the game for free and alumni will be recognized
during the game. “Both football programs have a storied history,” said CCPS District Athletic Director Kerry Stovall. “The
establishment of an alumni association for both schools has been something we have wanted to do for quite some time. It is the perfect way to honor the traditions of both programs while moving forward with the vision of a united program.”
The alumni event was announced earlier this year and will coincide with the annual Colonel vs. Tiger rival game scheduled for Friday night. Tickets for the game will be available beginning Thursday through www.gofan.co for $6. One cash gate for the home side (HHS) and visitors side (CCHS) will be open at the stadium Friday evening. Fans should enter on the side they wish to set. No one is allowed to cross to the
opposing team’s section.
