Dates for SEC Men’s Basketball Schedule Confirmed

The Southeastern Conference portion of the 2022-23 Kentucky men’s basketball schedule was confirmed on Wednesday by the league office. TV designations, tip times and the entirety of Kentucky’s schedule will be announced soon. The Wildcats will play an 18-game league schedule in their pursuit of a 50th SEC regular-season championship. In addition to its annual home-and-away opponents of Florida, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, Kentucky will also take on Arkansas and Georgia twice during the 2022-23 season.

 

Non-conference schedule finalized

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University head coach Nate James has announced his team’s non-conference schedule, a slate that is highlighted with four two trips to Power Five conference teams, including two which reached the NCAA tournament a season ago, and three games in Florida as part of the Sunshine Slam. “To start the season, I really wanted to challenge my team in preparation for the ASUN Conference, which will be extremely competitive from top to bottom,” James said. “In that preparation, I decided to schedule an extremely tough non-conference schedule, competing against several Power 5 teams from the ACC, SEC and Big 10. Governors open the regular season making their first-ever trip to North Carolina State on November 7 before traveling to Purdue on November 11 for just the third time. Austin Peay faces two opponents – Murray State and Tennessee – which advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament a season ago. The Governors hit the road December 16 to face the Racers. Austin Peay travels to Rocky Top on December 21 to face the defending SEC Tournament champion.

 

Women’s Basketball announces 2022-23 nonconference slate

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University head women’s basketball coach Brittany Young has announced the Governors’ 10-game nonconference schedule ahead of the 2022-23 season. “We have developed a nonconference schedule that will prepare us for the competitive grind that the ASUN Conference will present,” said Young. The nonconference schedule consists of two Power Five opponents, three first-time meetings and a trio of home games. The Govs begin their longest road trip of the season with a Nov. 12 game against Chattanooga. Austin Peay faces its first Power Five opponent in Vanderbilt, Nov. 17. APSU travels to Savannah, Georgia for the Hostilo Community Classic, Nov. 21-23, and open their stay at the tournament against Davidson, Nov. 21. The final nonconference road trip kicks off with a Dec. 8 game against Duke at historic Cameron Indoor Stadium.. After facing the Blue Devils, the Govs travel to Bluegrass State for a Dec. 13 contest against Murray State. Austin Peay concludes nonconference play against UNC Asheville, Dec. 21. The Govs beat the Bulldogs, 76-50 last season at UNCA.

 

Racer MBB Announces Non-Conference Schedule

The Murray State men’s basketball team released its 2022-23 non-conference schedule that features an appearance at the Myrtle Beach Invitational and the continuation of the Battle of the Border rivalry with Austin Peay. The Racers will be challenged with three games at the Myrtle Beach Invitational in Conway, South Carolina. The Racers’ first opponent is Texas A&M (Nov. 17), followed with a game against either Colorado or UMass (Nov. 18). After an off day, the Racers will meet either Loyola Chicago, Tulsa, Boise State or Charlotte in their third game (Nov. 20). The Racers play at Chattanooga (Nov. 26). The Racers take on longtime rival Austin Peay (Dec. 16), before wrapping up non-conference games at Middle Tennessee (Dec. 21).

 

Racers Announce WBB Non-Conference Slate

The Murray State women’s basketball team will play 10 games in its run-up to the Racers inaugural season in the Missouri Valley Conference. On Nov. 13, the Racers travel to Big 10 foe Purdue, before returning home Nov. 19 to host Chattanooga, and arch-rival Austin Peay Dec. 13. Murray State will round out its non-conference slate travelling to Lexington Dec. 16 to take on Kentucky.
