Brockman named Ky. League of Cities Employee of the Year

The City of Hopkinsville is celebrating a prestigious award won by one of their own as Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman was named the Kentucky League of Cities Employee of the Year.

Brockman joins Hopkinsville Police Chief Clayton Sumner and former Hopkinsville Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery in earning the distinction, and Brockman thinks it speaks well of the city that so many employees have been recognized state wide.

He says the award was an honor that caught him by surprise, and that he is blessed to work with a dedicated, exemplary group of people.

The award is designed to recognize outstanding Kentucky city employees and celebrate their achievements. Brockman will also receive $1,000 to donate towards a charity or cause of his choosing, and he has chosen the United Way of the Pennyrile.
