>>Cardinals Lose To Cubs

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Cardinals left eight men on base in a 7-1 loss to the Cubs at Wrigley Field.  Miles Mikolas was charged with his tenth loss after giving up three earned runs and two unearned runs in six-and-two-third innings.  Lars Nootbaar drove in the Cardinals only run with a solo home run in the fifth.  St. Louis remains in first place in the NL Central at 71-and-53.  Dakota Hudson starts for the Cardinals against Chicago today.

>>Reds Lose Third Straight To Phillies 7-5

(Philadelphia, PA)  —  The Reds lose their third straight game to the Phillies after a 7-5 defeat.  T-J Zeuch [[zoik]] got the loss pitching two-and-two-thirds innings while giving up six runs on seven hits. The Reds have lost three in-a-row and will try and avoid the sweep tonight as the series concludes in Philadelphia.

>>Braves Crush Pirates

(Pittsburgh, PA)  —  The Braves crushed the Pirates 14-2 in Pittsburgh to finish the three-game sweep.  Matt Olson and William Contreras homered for Atlanta.  Kyle Wright pitched seven scoreless innings for the Braves.  Atlanta improves to 78-and-48.  The Braves are a game-and-a-half back of the Mets for first in the N.L. East.  Atlanta will visit the St. Louis Cardinals tomorrow.

>>MLB Adding More Interleague Games To 2023 Schedule

(New York, NY)  —  Major League Baseball is going to more than double the number of Interleague games for all 30 teams next season.  The 2023 balanced schedule will decrease the number of divisional games for each team from 19 to 13 games for a total of 52 games.  Interleague games will jump from 20 up to 46 games.  Each team will play four Interleague games against their considered natural rival in a home-and-home series.
