>>Reds Win Series Against Pirates After 9-5 Win

(Cincinnati, OH)  — The Reds are celebrating a series win over the Pirates after their 9-5 victory.  Jake Fraley smashed a homer and had three R-B-I in the game while Mike Moustakas cracked a two-run homer.  The Reds take two-of-three against Pittsburgh and will try and keep the momentum going tonight in Philadelphia as they open a four-game series against the Phillies.

>>Cubs Bullpen Blows It Against Brewers

(Chicago, IL)  — The Cubs gave up five runs in the final three innings in a 5-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field.  The Cubs carried a 2-0 lead into the seventh inning before Brandon Hughes blew his third save of the season.  Rowan Wick picked up the loss an inning later after giving up the go-ahead run.  Ian Happ and Seiya Suzuki each went deep in the losing effort.  The Cubs fall to 52-and-68, and they send Drew Smyly to the mound against the Cardinals at home tonight.

>>Braves Drop Finale To Houston

(Cumberland, GA)  — The Braves could not complete the three-game sweep after dropping their finale 5-4 to the Astros in Cumberland.  Dylan Lee was charged with his first loss of the year after allowing two runs, one of them earned, in a third of an inning of relief.  Matt Olson slugged his 26th homer of the season with a two-run shot in the first inning.  The game was not without controversy as Marcell Ozuna was booed by the home fans in his first game since being charged with a DUI on Friday.

>Cardinals Rally To Beat Diamondbacks

(Phoenix, AZ)  —  The St. Louis Cardinals overcame a late one-run deficit to beat the Diamondbacks 6-4 at Chase Field.  Nolan Arenado drove in two runs with a single in the top of the seventh to put the Cardinals up for good.  Tommy Edman added an insurance run with an RBI single in the eighth.  Lars Nootbaar hit his seventh home run of the season in the victory.  The Cardinals are now five games ahead of the Brewers in the NL Central at 69-and-51.  Jordon Montgomery starts for St. Louis as the club visits the Cubs tonight.
