The Todd County Chamber of Commerce has announced plans for the upcoming 2022 Todd County Bale Trail.
According to a news release, it will take place September 24 through October 31, where participants across Todd County will create and display sculptures made of rolls, bales, or loose hay. All Todd County families, businesses and non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate. There is no fee to enter, but participants must be registered by September 9.
Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield says, “This is a fun and exciting time for our citizens and the many visitors that travel across our beautiful county witnessing the creativity our citizens and businesses. The Todd County Bale Trail is just another reason why I am proud to be a Todd Countian.”
This is the ninth year for the Todd County Bale Trail to take place, and it aims to promote local businesses and tourism while celebrating Todd County’s rural lifestyle. Lasting over a month long and covering the entire county, the Bale Trail is the biggest tourism event of the year for Todd County and brings in thousands of out-of-town visitors.
Prizes will be awarded for “Most Creative,” in which a panel of judges will choose a winner from three categories including private residence, business and non-profit. Prizes will also be awarded for “Fan Favorite,” which will be voted on by the public via the Todd County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page October 1 through the 31.
