Legendary baseball announcer Vin Scully is dead at the age of 94.
The Los Angeles Dodgers announced the news on Twitter Tuesday night. Scully’s broadcasting career spanned nearly 70 years and he became one of the sport’s most iconic voices.
His tenure with the Dodgers started in the late 1950s and lasted until his retirement after the 2016 season. Team President and CEO Stan Kasten called Scully a “giant of a man, both as a broadcaster and humanitarian.”
