Cardinals get Montgomery from Yankees for Bader

The Yankees continue to make improvements to their outfield.

New York has acquired outfielder Harrison Bader from the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for left-handed pitcher Jordan Montgomery.

The Yanks are also receiving a player to be named later or cash considerations from St. Louis.

Bader is a former Gold Glove winner and New York native that is hitting .256 with five home runs and 21 RBI this season.  The 28-year-old is currently on the injured list with plantar fasciitis in his right foot.  New York also dealt outfielder Joey Gallo to the Dodgers for minor league pitcher Clayton Beeter.
