East Ky. flooding death toll at 16

The death toll from Thursday morning’s flash flooding in eastern Kentucky has reached 16 and the number is expected to continue go up and perhaps double.

Governor Andy Beshear says at least two of the confirmed victims are children.

He continues to urge Kentuckians to donate to those who’ve lost everything at teamekyfloodrelieffund.ky.gov.

He commented that the Biden Administration for quickly approved a disaster declaration.  He added it’s one of the fastest disaster declarations ever seen.  The declaration covers about a dozen counties.
