A child was killed in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday night on KY 181 South in Muhlenberg County.
Kentucky State Police investigated and determined 56-year old Rebecca Evans of Greenville had been southbound when her car went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment, causing it to overturn.
A passenger, 11-year old Zachary Kangis of Central City, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County coroner.
Evans was taken by EMS to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of injuries.
