Another heat wave is settling into the region and a Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday until 8 p.m. Sunday for western Kentucky.
High temperatures in the upper 90’s will combine with the humidity to create heat index values of nearly 105 at times.
It will be dangerous for anyone working or spending time outdoors and those folks should drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks indoors or in a shady area and wear light and loose-fitting clothing.
Never leave a pet or human being in a hot car for any period of time and be sure to lock your vehicle so a child cannot let themselves inside.
If you have outdoor pets, be sure they have a constant supply of water and a shady place to take refuge from the heat.
