Several local youngsters will be on the stage of the Historic Alhambra Theatre Saturday for a performance of Red Riding Hood to conclude the week-long Missoula Childrens’ Theatre camp.
The performance is Saturday at 2 at the Alhambra and tickets are available for $8 plus a handling fee at pennyroyalarts.org or $10 at the door. Children five and under receive free admission.
Local students from first through 12th grade will play roles in the classic Red Riding Hood story and there will also be students featured in Three Little Pigs.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY, JULY 21, 2022 —Red Riding Hood will be presented on Saturday, July 23, at 2:00 p.m. at the Alhambra Theatre with local students in grades 1st-12th taking the stage as the culmination of the week-long Missoula Childrens’ Theatre camp.
Life is no picnic when you stray from the trail! Join Red Riding Hood and her friends on a forest adventure this Saturday when the Missoula Children’s Theatre and over 60 local students present an original musical adaptation of this classic tale.
The local cast features Laura Minemyer as Red Riding Hood; and Naomi Fancher, Jeneya Miller, Alyssa Minemyer as her three Girl Friends. Timothy Hughes is Little Loveable Wolf while Annabelle Burley, Hollis Davis, Judah Fancher, Jace Ritli, and Jennie Watts are featured as the Hood Family. Also featured are The Three Little Pigs played by Evelyn Bangart, Kennedy Moorefield, Lucy Newby; David Minemyer as The Woodsman; Winford Hughes as The Locksmith; Elliott Moorefield as Ranger Rooney; and Raleigh Burley as The Boy Who Cries Wolf.
To complete the ensemble, Kaley Bangart, Maliyah Brown, Olive Burley, Ella Chalfin, Isabella DeAnda, Elizabeth Dodson, Sarah Kate Gilliam, Karsyn Greene, Sarah Greene, Grace Kelly, Meredith Lampert, Ella Minemyer, Isabella Spurr, Emily Voss, Leighton Wilson, and Bonnie Zieg will appear as the Forest Shadows; Caroline Boyd, Landon Cardwell, Jonathon Dodson, Jonah Hudgins, Levi Hughes, Sophia Knight, Norah Mathis, Micah Scott, Lucas Stine, Libby Wells, Piper Wentling as the Wolfgang; and Jaci Kate Addison, Lewis Conrad, Rosalie Dodson, Lilly Fincham, Lia Gilliam, Foster Green, Nora Harrison, Annabelle Kemp, Mallory Lancaster, Markei Murray, Eloise Naghtin, Olivia Polete, Bostyn Russell, Hazel Shearon, Lilly Spurr, Ally Wells as the rascally Raccoons. Genna Calhoun and Blake Sickels have served as Assistant Directors throughout the week.
