Planning continues for Oak Grove Buc-ee’s

Approximately 23,000 vehicles are expected to stop at the Oak Grove Buc-ee’s each day when it opens and that’s why officials are anxiously waiting on the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet to do some work in the area of KY 115 and I-24 to accommodate the traffic.

A Buc-ee’s corporate office employee confirmed to WHOP News in March that the company plans to open a location at that spot in Oak Grove sometime in 2024.

Mayor Theresa Jarvis appeared on WHOP Friday morning and said the city, Buc-ee’s and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are in discussions about necessary bridge-widening at the I-24 overpass on KY 115.

Jarvis says she went to the grand opening for the Buc-ee’s in Richmond earlier this year.

Buc-ee’s is famous for being a type of super-sized convenience store that offers products not traditionally seen at your average gas station. They also claim to have the cleanest restrooms in America.
