It won’t be as hot as it was last week, but it’ll remain warm and mostly dry in the coming days.
Meteorologist Sean Poulos with the National Weather Service in Paducah said during the weekly conference call that while it’ll certainly still feel hot outside this week, the good news is the humidity is lower than last week.
There has been social media chatter about next week being historically hot with triple-digit temperatures, but Poulos says the models are now showing that while it’s likely to remain in the 90’s, next week likely won’t be as hot as last.
Western Kentucky is in moderate drought status during summer months for the first time in 10 years and while the region received some much-needed rain over the last several days, Poulos says the dry forecast in the coming days won’t help that situation any.
