Proceedings continued in 2006 Greenville Road murder case

Proceedings were continued to Monday in the 2006 murder case against suspect Lashanda Person, as the defense starts receiving evidence in the case.

Defense attorney Doug Moore says he does intend to also argue for bond modification at that time, once the appropriate paperwork is filed.

There is a significant amount of evidence in the case, with Moore saying he will be going to the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office within the week to collect it.

Person, also known by Bell, is accused in the 2006 murder of Roscoe Mayes on Greenville Road, alongside co-defendant Regina Vause—both are charged with murder and first-degree robbery.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says an autopsy determined Mayes died from blunt force trauma.
