The Henderson Flash defeated The Hoptown Hoppers 5-4 on Monday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at four with Henderson batting in the bottom of the ninth when Kyle LaVanchy singled, scoring one run.
Henderson earned the victory despite allowing Hoptown to score three runs in the seventh inning. William Spear, Alex Archuleta, and Joshua Rodriguez all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Henderson Flash evened things up at four in the bottom of the eighth inning when Chase Harlan threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Henderson.
Harlan took the loss for Hoptown. The pitcher surrendered two runs on three hits over one inning, walking one.
The Hoppers had hits in the game. Spear and Anthony Zarlingo all managed multiple hits for The Hoppers. Spear led Hoptown going 3 for 4.
