The Hoptown Hoppers took the lead early and went on for a 6 to 1 win over The Railroaders in Fulton Sunday night.
Zach Duenas earned the victory on the hill for The Hoppers. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven. Jacob Dilday, Garrett Blevins, and Cody Hupp all put in work in relief out of the bullpen.
Former Lyon Co. standout Jackson Shoulders took the loss for Fulton. The hurler surrendered four runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four.
Hoptown smacked two home runs on the day. Ren Tachioka went deep in the fourth inning. Joshua Rodriguez had a homer in the seventh inning.
Hoptown Hoppers totaled seven hits. Connor Cornwell and Tachioka each had multiple hits for The Hoppers. Cornwell was 3 for 4 at the plate.
