>>Nets’ Durant Looking For Next Landing Spot

(Brooklyn, NY)  —  Nets star Kevin Durant is eyeing an exit from Brooklyn.  He’s requested a trade after just two years with the Nets.  The Suns and Heat are on the 12-time All-Star’s wish list of potential landing spots.  And there was word on Sunday that the Golden State Warriors have an interest in picking him up.  Durant has four years left on his contract worth around 200-million dollars.

>>Brittney Griner Heading Back To Court Thursday

(Moscow)  —  WNBA star Brittney Griner is due back in court this coming Thursday in Russia.  The Phoenix Mercury star stands accused of having under a gram of cannabis oil in her luggage when she was arrested at the airport in Moscow back in February.  She plays there during the WNBA’s offseason.  A top U.S. Embassy official was able to speak with Griner during her last court appearance.  Elizabeth Rood said Griner wanted everybody to know “that she is in good spirits and is keeping up the faith.”

>>Tyler Reddick Earns First Career Win At NASCAR Road America

(Plymouth, WI)  —  At long last, Tyler Reddick has found victory lane.  Reddick took home the win at the NASCAR Cup Series Road America race.  The driver of the number eight led 16 laps to pick up his first career Cup Series win.  Chase Elliott finished in second after leading 36 laps.  Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, and Daniel Suarez rounded out the top five.

>>JT Poston Wins John Deere Classic

(Silvis, IL)  —  JT Poston is celebrating a victory at the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis.  Poston shot a 69 in the final round to finish the tournament atop the leaderboard at 21 under par.  The 29-year-old was coming off a second place finish at the Travelers Championship.

>>Nashville S-C Draws 2-2 With Portland

(Nashville, TN)  —  Nashville S-C share the points with Portland in a 2-2 draw.  Sean Davis and Hany Mukhtar scored in the first half to give Nashville a 2-0 lead, but the Timbers scored twice in the second half to even the score.  Nashville gains a point and are now fourth in the West with 27 points.  The team is back in action next weekend when they travel to Charlotte.

>>Birmingham Tops Philadelphia In USFL Championship

(Canton, OH)  —  The Birmingham Stallions are celebrating a victory in the inaugural championship game of the rebooted USFL.  The Stallions topped the Philadelphia Stars 33-30 in Canton.  The game-winning score came on a Victor Bolden touchdown pass from Alex McGough, who was playing in relief of injured start J’Mar Smith.  Philadelphia also finished the game with a backup quarterback after Case Cookus injured his knee.  The Stallions finished the year with a record of 11-and-1 including the postseason.
