Police to be out in full force on 4th weekend to stop drunk drivers

Police agencies across Kentucky will be out in full force this Fourth of July holiday weekend looking to arrest anyone driving impaired and to stop anyone who is being unsafe on roads.

Christian County Sheriff Tyler DeArmond says his office will utilize extra patrols and state-funded overtime hours to hopefully make the roads safer.

It’s not just DUI’s that police will be looking for, motorists should also pay extra attention to their speed and wear their seat belt during a weekend when there will be extra traffic on roads.

If you do plan to consume alcohol at a holiday celebration this weekend, plan ahead to have a safe and sober ride home.
