>Mayfield Ready To Move On From Browns

(Norman, OK)  —  Baker Mayfield thinks it’s time for he and the Cleveland Browns to move on.  The quarterback told reporters in Oklahoma he’s thankful for his time in Cleveland and has no resentment toward the city or fans.  Mayfield says Browns management would need to reach out for him to suit up for Cleveland this year.  He’s requested a trade and Cleveland may be in the market for a new quarterback if Deshaun Watson is suspended.

>Nashville S-C Play Orlando City Tonight In A Cup Quarter-Final Match

(Orlando, FL)  —  Nashville S-C are in action tonight for their cup match.  The club is on the road taking on Orlando City in the U-S Open Cup Quarter-Final.  Nashville beat Louisville City in the previous round 2-1 while Orlando City advanced after winning against Inter Miami on penalties.  Kickoff is tonight at 6:00.

(Undated)  —  Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman is parting ways with his agency.  The MLB Players Association sent an email to agents on Freeman’s behalf ordering agents to not contact the player.  Freeman is listed within baseball’s central system as currently being self-represented.  The 2020 NL MVP and 2021 World Series champion has expressed anger and sadness that his negotiations ended with him playing with a team other than the Braves.

(Undated)  —  The Knicks are trading away a pair of players to create some salary cap space.  ESPN reports New York is sending center Nerlens Noel and guard Alec Burks to the Pistons.  The Knicks also included a 2023 second-round pick, a 2024 second-round pick and six-million dollars in cash in the deal with Detroit.  The move opens up 19-million dollars in salary cap space for New York as it plans to pursue guard Jalen Brunson at the start of NBA free agency.  The Pistons reportedly plan to keep both Noel and Burks heading into next season.

>>Report: Jazz Hire Will Hardy As Head Coach

(Undated)  —  The Jazz are finalizing a deal with a Celtics’ assistant to become their new head coach.  ESPN reports former Boston assistant coach Will Hardy is signing a five-year deal to become the head coach in Utah.  At 34, Hardy will be the youngest active head coach in the NBA.  Hardy was one of four finalists who met with ownership in Salt Lake, along with Jazz assistant Alex Jensen, Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin and fellow Celtics assistant Joe Mazzulla.  Hardy spent one year under Ime Udoka, helping the Celtics reach the NBA Finals.
