Positivity rate, COVID-19 cases up slightly

The COVID-19 positivity rate in Kentucky rose slightly since last week’s report, now at 13.36 percent.

There were also 9,574 newly reported cases, up roughly1,600 cases compared the prior week—there were 30 new deaths, putting that total at 16,144 since the pandemic began in the Commonwealth.

There are currently 377 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 54 in the ICU and 18 on a ventilator.

On the statewide community spread level map, Christian, Todd and Trigg counties remain in the ‘green’.
