Monster trucks featured Monday at WKSF

It’s another big night at the Western Kentucky State Fair with monster trucks in the grandstand and another pageant in the convention center.

4,448 people attended the fair Sunday for Faith and Family Day, bringing the weekend total to 15,213, which is down slightly from last year’s first weekend attendance of 16,850.

The monster trucks pre-show begins at 5:30 in the grandstand and the main event at 7:30 and Tony Meacham with the fair board says it’s always a big attraction for kids.

The Ms. Plus pageant begins at 7 p.m. in the air-conditioned convention center and it will be another $20 arm band night for unlimited rides.

Gates open at 4:30 and rides at 5.

Admission is $3, it’s $1 with a military ID and free for children 2 and younger.
