An arrest warrant for stolen gun charges was served Sunday night against a Hopkinsville man.
It alleges that on November 9 of last year, 22-year old Jaquavius Whitlock of Hopkinsville was involved in a single-vehicle accident and a gun was located on the ground near where he was standing.
Whitlock was told by police to stay on scene, but he allegedly left.
A computer check showed the gun had been reported stolen.
Whitlock is charged with receiving a stolen firearm and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
He’s also charged with fleeing or evading police, as an arrest citation says he ran from a vehicle during a traffic stop at Glass Avenue at West Seventh Street and had to be tased to be brought into custody.
