An arrest has been made in connection with a shooting incident from early Wednesday morning at a home on East 18th Street.
Hopkinsville police have charged 29-year old Taraneisha Quarles of Hopkinsville with first-degree assault.
An arrest citation says Quarles told police she believed 45-year old David Powell was reaching for a bow when she fired a pistol and shot him four times.
Powell went by private vehicle to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and was later flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The victim and suspect live together, according to the report.
