The Franklin Duelers watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-2 loss to The Hoptown Hoppers on Sunday. Hoptown Hoppers took the lead on a home run in the second inning.

Hoptown scored six runs in the sixth inning. The Hoppers’s big inning was driven by singles by Chase Harlan and Ren Tachioka, a groundout by Drew Donaldson, and a double by Fernandez.
Marcus Goodpaster earned the victory on the hill for The Hoppers. He went seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out six.
